Default Pious Frauds

Reverend Pat Robertson recently advocated the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, intimating that such action would be a good thing. This is strange speech from one who would preach the Ten Commandments. Is not the Bible (according to Rev. Robertson) the literal word of God? Did God not mean what He commanded: “Thou shalt not kill”? Exodus 20:13 Authorized Version of King James.

The televangelists - the Pat Robertson’s and Jerry Falwell’s of this world - don’t practice what they preach, and their so-called ministries make a mockery of religion. They are “ranters” (pious frauds), like the character Talkative in John Bunyon’s The Pilgrim’s Progress.
