I guess some still do believe that!!!!
I saw my first Colored Only sign in Gulfport Mississippi in 1966 and even though I heard about them and saw pictures seeing that sign for real had a significant impact on me. I said in the past that even though I am from the North I went to a virtually Black free high school and we had our own form of racism yet this was institutional.
