Default ignore or segragate is wrong/wrong attitude

Duh contends [quote][I know why don't they replace it with a memorial to BLACK soldiers of WWII-you'd have no problem with that.Unlike a memorial to WHITE soldiers of WWII which you'd instantly condemn as racist.
/quote]

What many people do not understand is that the recognition of Blacks' contribution in WW II ( and WWI) was basically ignored or as in the case of the Confederate Republic of Georgia recognized separately. I guess in a perverse sense you can claim that being recognized separately is better than not at all.

This wrong/wrong attitude of ignore or segregate is what makes some people want to make memoria;ls to Black servicemen of WW II.
