Default Belgium has a new government

Belgium has a new government ...

After the political crisis and our interim government we finally got a new government. I've got a few remarks about this government.

The composition of this government is very undemocratic. The government has 22 members, 10 Flemings and 12 Francophones. So the Flemish representation within the government is 45 %, whereas 60 % of the Belgian population is Flemish ....

The Belgian constitution clarifies the Council of Ministers should have as much Francophones as Flemings (only exception is the First Minister), even though 60 % of “the Belgians” are Flemish. How democratic, the Belgian constitution avoids a proportionate representation of both linguistic groups in the government ....

Besides we got 7 secretaries of states in our government, 2 are Flemish and 5 are ... French-speakers.

Why do we Flemings have to vote in Belgium? Belgium simply ignores results of the last elections and French-speaking parties who have lost the elections are represented again in the federal government ....

Now I'll explain why we simply can't obtain an equal representation of Flemings and French-speakers:

The Belgian constitution describes the composition of the government. We want to change the constitution and we don't need weapons for that. For a change to the constitution we only need a 2/3th majority in the federal Parliament and a majority in both linguistic groups.

The problem is the French-speakers will always refuse every modification and they really want to avoid a Belgium with a proportional representation of its linguistic groups. Belgium always favours its French-speakers, this goes on for 176 years now. (Belgium exists 176 years now.)

Yet another reason to hate the French. Thanks for that.

In 1962 when when Belgium established the language boundary between Dutch-speaking Flanders and French-speaking Wallonia the French-speakers were extremely favoured.

The officials and supervisors were all French-speakers who "encouraged" Dutch-speaking Flemings to pretend their first language was French. So the countings (who spoke Dutch and who spoke French) were falsified.

The consequence of this is the French-speakers did annex several Flemish cities which are "frenchified" now. The linguistic struggle isn't over, due to mass migration from Brussels and Wallonia to some Flemish municipalities which are near to the language boundary some Flemish municipalities became mainly French-speaking since 2005. And guess what? The French-speakers want to change the language boundary again, they simply want to annex the new frenchified Flemish municipalities. (like Hitler had his eyes one Sudetenland.)

I'll start a new thread here in Western Europe where I explain many Flemings would like to secede from Belgium ....

There is a thread on that actually. It seems that MANY want to succeed but not MOST which will prove to be a problem. And it sounds like few really have much zeal for it. If you did things probably wouldn't be as they are if you in fact do control most of the profitable industries etc.

Though underlying all this is that you guys just need to learn English, which many probably do already, start interbreeding, and generally quit acting like the people in the Balkains.
