In purchasing munitions, the contractor has also worked with middlemen and a shell company on a federal list of entities suspected of illegal arms trafficking.

The argument for these contracts is always "Who else is going to do it?"

Well, for 300 million dollars, and the proper permits, I could do a better job than this kid.

Remember that all our roads have been built using the same philosophy that got this guy this contract.

The lowest bidder wins.

By contract he will be fined and tagged with not getting another government contract if found to have done this intentionally. Remember that he too could have been sold a bill of goods by his suppliers. In which case he is innocent.

If you want to change the rule that forced the US to use guys like this you can.

You see the US government is not allowed to use foreign suppliers unless no other US supplier could be found. This was done in part so the US didn't loose any jobs to companies overseas.

I'm sure a Russian ammo plant would have LOVED to have been able to bid on this contract.
