Honestly surprised that a classical liberal would honestly fall for this clap trap but hey what are you going to do. The makers of 24 are in the TV business, their job is to make a show that people will watch. The more people they are able to get to watch their program the more they will be able to charge companies who want to advertise in that place. People enjoy watching it plan and simple, its not some huge "conspiracy" its the market finding a audience and selling a product that the people want to view.

Is it propaganda? No, its a TV show, its no more propaganda then the West Wing, All in The Family, MASH, or South Park is. Does it have political undertones? Sure it does, but its entertainment so its almost natural that it will. It found a market and is giving the consumer (the viewers) what they want, if they didn't want it they wouldn't watch it.
