Whether or not it is a TV show has no relevence as to whether or not it is propaganda. Perhaps propaganda is too strong a word, but there is definitely a strong pro-neocon bias in the show. You can see it in the way suspects are treated on the show. No one ever talks until after they are tortured. The information they receive through torture is always 100% accurate. Now, like I said, I personally don't care. I like the show, but I'm not dumb enough to buy into its mentality. I've met a number of people who are. If you aren't one of them, good for you.

I watched the season premier. The White House is debating whether to detain Muslims. As the president is considering opposing viewpoints, the phone rings. There's been a nuclear attack. How convenient! Suddenly we all are lead to realize the folly of "weak liberal thinking".
Only through torture do detainees talk, and each time they provide accurate information that will save the country. Failing to torture is a sign of weakness that puts our country at risk.
"24" pushes far right propaganda, injects Fox News into every other scene, and presents an inaccurate and unrealistic view of the world. "24" would work well as a cartoon, but not as a show that tries to pass itself off as realistic, or one that Bush Administration officials should be worshipping each week.
