I bet MLK would disagree with you since Heston marched with him in the 1950's, long before liberals like LBJ championed the cause. They were too busy sitting on their hands at the time.

It symbolizes power.

It is what it is.

It's in our psyche as a culture.

You blame Charlton Heston on something that has been ingrained in us since the early 1700's when settlers had flintlocks.

The guy or gal with the gun has the power over Nature and over others.

It's ingrained in our DNA.

kinda makes ya wonder tho.. do we really need a federal govt spending $500 Billion a year on weapons (more than all the nations of the world combined) when our nearest competitor is spending 1/20th of that? Taking several billion of that and reinvesting it into nationbuilding the states would do more for our national security imo.

To say nothing of states who don't enforce mandates of current law; like in virginia, where a kid who was declared insane and a danger to himself in others in a court of law, was able to purchase two guns and go on a shooting rampage.
There should be NO laws restricting adult American citizens from purchasing, owning and carrying firearms.

Icon1 Charlton Heston was loved and will be missed.

Charlton Heston was an great American patroit and an great actor. In an interview he said out all his movies it was the part he played as Moses that for him was at the top of his acting achievements. The Ten Commandments is still a classic even through it was made in 1956.

More than acting Charlton Heston got involved politically, and as leader of the NRA he stood up strongly for the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution which is as American as Apple pie. The right to bear arms got America it's freedom and independence. Don't let the Leninist trick you into any type of gun control.

They want an American Bolshevik revolution, and move daily at taking away our freedoms and rights, while playing American against Illegal immigrants. These international bankers pretending to be the federal Reserve are working hard to take-over this government. The media is one of it's biggest tools. Abraham Lincoln fought against these enemies and warned us about them.

As Americans "It's much better to have firearms and not need them, than to need them and not have them". The enemies of this nation want to take away our rights, and freedoms, 9-11 is part of their conspiracy to do this. All the communist spying on American the loss of rights and freedoms after the false flag operation called 9-11 is proof enough.

It amazes me how all the Leninist spies right here on this message board that have no respect for the deceased Charlton Heston, and in their evil underhanded way slander Mr Heston in a way they probably think is clever.

Charlton Heston helped me to understand our freedoms must be protected and preserved. I'll always admire him for this as well as the part he played as Moses.

May he rest in Peace.
