Default Whats up with this Whole Superdelegate thing?

The Democrats have had this underlying MO for years that they would puport to be for the "little man" incessantly, but harbor the sentiment that the run of the mill Joe Citizen has no earthly idea what is best for him. The party elite need to step in and make all the decisions for him. The Superdelegate syatem is a GLARING example of this sentiment!

My primary (chuckle) question is, how have they gotten away with this for so long? Are Democrat voters really that simple minded and gullable?

How exactly are Democrat voters supposed to change that?

Default Abandon the party that refuses to value your vote

That is basically it. The Democratic Party does not value the opinion, and consequently the vote, of its own party members (except the hyperwealthy elite of course).

The glaring question is why do everyday people continue to vote Democrat given these facts???

this is exactly why im anti party. the truth is that any party can get to that point. but the democrats have taken it new level. the truth is that they feel as if those super delegates have more privelage to vot for who they want than any other person.

Why do you care so much? If the election comes down to the point where it's close enough that a few superdelegates can be the deciding factor, as may be the case in this election, half of the voters will be disenfranchised anyway in that their vote wouldn't have really mattered. In past elections it hasn't been a big deal because the race had already been decided by pledged delegates, and the only reason people are worried about it now is because the race is close.

If democratic party officials had their way no election would be held. They would simply ask George Soros what he thinks would be best and that would be it.

Default WHat?

Why do I care so much?
I would like to see our government function as a government for the people by the people, all the people not just those who qulaify as the party elite.
The Democrats throw away the common man's primary vote unless it conforms to their will. The superdelegate system is their mechanism to accomplish that.

WHY WOULDN'T I CARE THAT AMERICAN CITIZENZ ARE BEING DUPED EN MAS?

Duped really isn't a fair evaluation of what's going on because these rules have been in place for many years. So that makes it difficult to infer deception. The real problem is naivity and the apathy on behalf of democratic voters.
