Default Bought the vast bulk of WHAT legally?

Thanks Ashley. Makes your bile rise, doesn't it. If it happened to my home, I would become violent.

Then again I suppose that is exactly how the Palestinians felt and still feel.

Having reread my post, I should clarify that I meant that the vast bulk of the land that they (the settlers) had bought was acquired legally, not of course that they had bought the vast bulk of what later became Israel. In fact by 1948 the settlers and the JNF had bought only a miniscule proportion of the territory that they declared to be independent in 1948. I am not surprised the Arabs tried to take it back. Wouldn't you?

But that is not the Myth, which instead is that if you own some real estate it means you are entitled to control the soveriegnty or statehood of that ground. And this is the argument so often used in Zionist propoganda, and seen to be a "truth" by some on this forum.

I mean imagine if the Amish in Holmes County, Ohio declared their real estate to be an independent country. So why should legal acquisition of real estate by Zionists mean that "they were therefore entitled to form a new country"?
