And the point about it being hard for wealthy folks to get into the Kingdom of God...I really don't think the message referred to all rich folks. I think it was referring to the rich folks who value their wealth more than they value God/Jesus and/or Jesus' principles.

I happen to think helping your despondent neighbor to have the same God-given freedoms that you do is something that Jesus would commend - in this case, freeing the people of Iraq from tyrannic rule.
I only have to remember the number of Iraqi children dying everyday under the food for oil program, at I think it justifies serving as what is the will of Christ. I think the same thing concerning the conflict in Darfur. Do you?
There comes a time when one has to realize diplomacy has failed. When this time comes, as it did with me, then a Christian is obligated to do their duty as provided by the state- in this case, serving their country.
