Default China

China is one of the most influential powers in the world, not only in such international bodies as the UN, but also economically, and militarily. Let's face it, it's only a matter of time before a nation that is new to power begins to try imperialism, and now with the lack of food, the rising price of oil, and the enormous population (still increasing exponentially) the question is not if China will begin to take over another nation, but when.

i dont think that they would be able to without taking huge international backfire from it. one way they could get away with it is declare war on terrorism and invade sudan or iran. it might sound like a radical approach but they would be supported by the US and its allies. the only callenge would be to find a reason to do so. im sure iran would be a nice target for them because of the oil, not to mention that the iranians would have a hard time fighting a half million troops.

China has over 2 million soldiers, and with the enormous population China will need to get new resources. There are food riots even now, so why wouldn't China move to say Southeast Asia and take over some nations there? Would any superpower be willing to stand up against China? They have the largest army on earth, one of the most technologically advanced, and would not be an easy opponent to defeat

The only nation with the military strength to stand up to China is the U.S. and since America imports a ridiculous amount of goods from China it will probably not act. The impact on their economy would be to negative, especially on top of the current slump it is in. So, China would probably be safe in invading south east Asia

We would still destroy them in a fight.

Post ...

China openly admits that America's air defense would be their worst worries, after all the Americans can
smash out any air force in the world giving them free air superiority over any country, where they can then
bomb randomly all over the country until that country submits.

I think china would lose a war fought from the air, and then would submit after being bombed day and night for months on end.
Besides that, look at all the jobs china would lose that America gave them, they would have torn up cities and be dirt poor
like they was before we hired them LOL.
