True - I'm proud of them and their new Governement. You can't have private Armies in a Democracy. Least of all one led by a religious fundamentalist.

Many of the Iraqi forces are being trained by the British Army based at Basra airbase.

Initially I was disappointed that the British Army wasn't also fighting in Basra, but I have heard their have been plenty of 'special operations' personel involved side by side with American special ops. The SAS and the likes ... we probably won't hear too much detail for 15-20 years yet.
