As much as I agree for the most part, this sentence bothers me. The problem with this argument is that it emphasizes that children are a "consequence". Much of the demand for abortion, abandonment, and genocide is based on just that mentality.
I believe adoption should be made easier and more available, ALL states should have laws that allow for mothers to abandon a child with minimal hassle and maximum anonymity if they leave the child in a designated place (hospital, fire station, etc.) and agree to necessary testing. And I believe that policy should be made known. Also I think sex ed should be very comprehensive.
Only with all that do I expect illegalizing abortions to make any difference.
