My school district is getting rid of 90+ Teachers, all because they want to save money. Why can't the school district find another way to make money?

Start doing pay per view water-boarding of Islamofacists. All proceeds could go to the school. We could also do pay per view ritualistic executions of Islamofacists with that money going to the school also.

Too many highly paid administrators. There was a superintendent of an elementary school district not far from me that garnered $1.5 million in salary and free medical insurance for his entire family for life.

Cut out the administrators and the counselers and you'd have more money for teachers.

I know it's kinda of silly to ask... but, have they done anything to try to save money? Cut out a few programs, maybe reduce electricity consumption, things of that nature?

I hate to see school districts lay-off teachers - to me that's a last-resort maneuver. But, I guess if you've cut all the fat and then some, then you gotta do what you gotta do!

First, you've edited my statement from what I originally posted, which takes it out of context and modifies its meaning. Moreover it's against forum rules.

Counseling isn't a function of education. You need therapy? Go to a therapist.

Administration isn't the issue, over-administration is, I've seen schools where they have an administrator for every 5 teachers.. total nonsense.

Education is the only issue i agree with liberals on. If you promote equal opportunity for all children growing up in america. (with a (*)(*)(*)(*) good school system) they will have nothing to complain about when some of them grow up as failures and are offered 0 help!
