The blood thinner issue is about heparin and tighter controls. And honestly, most US drug companies would prefer if we would purchase heparin from them, not the Chinese. But the Chinese can make the product cheaper and so we buy it from them. That's not political deflection, that's economics. We just refuse to get what we pay for. You want a better product. Stop buying it cheap. When you buy a four dollar shirt from WalMart, you expect it will perform like a four dollar shirt. When you buy a similar shirt from Banana Republic for $40 you expect it to have a better quality. We should expect the same from our pharmaceuticals.
