Uh-huh; sure.

Actually, the temperature has been dropping for the last 3 years, and that's why your "guru's" have stopped using the term "global warming" in favor of using "climate change."

You're describing short-term variations that do not refute the long-term trend. Check out this chart:

The warming trend is real.

The forests you worry about are larger than any other time in history due to mankind's existence......... putting out fires started by natural means that previously burnt unabated.
|
In the United States, perhaps -- although that's based on sparse data about past forest acreage, and reflects the replacement of ecologically diverse old-growth forests with ecologically sparser "seminatural" or "plantation" forests.
But worldwide, forests are disappearing on a massive scale. Each year, 10,000 square miles of the Amazon rainforest alone is cut down. Most of the remaining forest in the world exists in a few large, sparsely populated areas such as Canada and Russia.

Michael Mann, the originator of the UN's IPCC "research" that inflamed hysterical passions, has refused to make his base data available for scrutiny by the scientific community.
|
Link? His conclusions have been confirmed by other researchers, and critics have attacked him for perceived flaws in his data. Not sure how either could be done without seeing the data.
And never mind that Michael Mann is but one of thousands of scientists who generally agree with the consensus.
