Capitalists love monopolies because it means they would be able to have the market all to themselves to exploit with no competition.

Does it mean anything to you when I say the founder of capitalism said one of the government's two major responsibilities was to prevent the creation of monopolies?

It means he could see the flaw that is in the market, that by itself it encourages monopolies, and therefore has to be regulated from without. Is that what you meant? Who is 'he' btw?

Adam Smith is hardly the be-all and end-all of economics, in actual fact modern economics reflects more Keynes than Smith.

Really?

First of all, most Americans are capitalists. So most of the people you have ever met are likely capitalists. Therefor, you are basically saying that nearly every person you have ever met wants to take over the world.

And we're supposed to give you credibility?

It's a metaphor, I'm sure you can figure it out.

It doesn't even make sense.

Instead of inventing metaphors [something you aren't very good at], try being specific about what it is you are trying to say.

Default Fascism Is A Right Wing Ideology - Ask My Dead Grandfather

The thing is with these neo-con right wing fanatics is that they totally mis-represent the meaning of what it is to be fascistic. Let's be clear about this. Fascism and socialism are diametrically opposing ideologies. Let me spell this out for all you neo-fascist Bush lovers because it just doesn't appear to sink in to your thick sculls: Socialism is the ANTITHESIS of fascism - its opposite. Socialism is a LEFT wing ideology and fascism is a RIGHT wing ideology. It was LEFT wing socialists who fought back against Hitler's RIGHT wing fascists in occupied Europe during WW2 and it was LEFT wing socialists who fought against Franco's RIGHT wing fascist hordes in 1936. My British grandfather, a LEFT wing Marxist, born in 1911, and died aged 25 in 1936 on the front line fighting Franco's RIGHT wing forces. So, I hope you can understand that the mis-use of the word FASCIST by you neo-con warmongers on this site is offensive to me and my family.

Most of the right-wingers will point out that the fighting in Europe was between liberal individualist capitalists versus fascist socialist Nazi's. But if a little re-write of history helps bring us out of the out-dated era of individualism and into the modern age of centrally planned socialism..............who am I to object?
