Food and different viewpoints are the only argument that needs to presented in the immigrant debate.

But seriously, the different cultures have different viewpoints on issues than Americans. Diversity in a democracy is strength. By having everyone with a different viewpoint contributing to every decision we make, the best possible decision can be made.

Hopefully todays immigrants will continue to advancet through the higher echelons of society and make an impact where it counts. That's the one thing I could hope for...

They use lamb and chicken in most areas. Some regions even use beef. Goat is common but not in American restaurants... and unsurprisingly fish is common for coastal regions.

But the variety is mostly about the spices. Every cook has her/his own masala... Some guard their secrets well.

Why not? After all, while some Christian sects are on the rise, so are nontheism and alternative religions. A Muslim kid is just as likely to keep his religion as a Christian one... though I do expect to see the practice of the religion changed to be more in tune with the descendant's lifestyle.

My best friend is Jain (they can't eat meat) so I'm accustom to eating Indian food that is totally vegetarian. The spices are to die for thou!
