I don't know of any R's or conservatives who listen to Hannity. Yet his show gets ratings. Rosie gets ratings as does Bill Maher. Michael Moore sells millions of movie tickets and DVD's. So you may not know them but it obviously is happening.

What I can't figure out is why a true conservative would listen to him? He calls his show the "Stop Hillary Express" then spends 2 hours saying democrats suck because they don't put out new ideas, and just attack republicans. This is intermingled with Dick Morris coming on the air saying bad things about both Clintons.

Some will listen because he reinforces their opinions, I'm sure the same is true of those like Moore. I don't like either. Hannity gets on my nerves even more than Colmes.

Air America failed because liberals didn't want to hear conservative bashing all day long without substance, so they tuned out. Yes a few red meat liberals tuned in to hear about how bad Cons suck. But conservatives seem to revel in red meat politics. All bark, no bite, attack attack attack, and then throw in some hyprocracy for good measure.
Can you actually picture George Will or Buckley Jr. tuning into this garbage? Do you think Reagan spent most of his day bashing Democrats, or did he just think up ideas that he believed in, then defend those ideas?
My memories of Reagan are about him being positive and putting forth ideas (Yes I disagreed with a few). Hannity is the polar opposite. His popularity at some level must be a reflection about the "politics of destruction" mentality that Conservatives possess.

Liberals have their equivalents, they are just in different mediums.
