Of course, with abortion, there's the issue of whether or not a fetus is a sentient being. Is a fetus self-aware? Does a fetus have any higher-level cognitive functions? Does a fetus try to preserve it's own life?

Only after determining whether or not a fetus is sentient can we say if abortion is murder or not.
