owned a slave, back during the Civil War, must pay reparations.
Otherwise, why is this "reparations" cloud still hanging over our heads? How many decades must go by before "whitey" is absolved of what his great-great-great-great grandfather did? Do jews still demand reparations from Germany? Do the Russians? Hey, I know! Mexicans can demand reparations from Spain! It was those pesky Spaniards who killed off the Mayans anyway!
