McCain Skips Petraeus Briefing To Campaign In New Hampshire
Major media outlets and conservatives are pounding Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for not attending a House briefing today with Gen. David Petraeus, the senior U.S. commander in Iraq. (Never mind that Pelosi spoke personally to Petraeus about Iraq yesterday.)
What hasn’t been mentioned is that another major figure in the Iraq debate is also skipping out of a briefing with Petraeus today: Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), the most high-profile congressional supporter of President Bush’s escalation policy.

Since when does McCain set the agenda?
|
Since Bush is soley responsible for the starting and the execution of this failed endeavor, McCain has as much input as Pelosi.
It's disingenuous to suggest that Nancy Pelosi needs to be there when McCain does not simply because she is Speaker of The House.
|
Pelosi is third in line for the presidency and she doesn't need to be there?
You're spinning that so much you make me want to hurl. I know, the democrap mantra; throw the white flag and surrender and leave. That is pretty much sums up her need to hear anything from the main man in Iraq.

My Spin????????????????????????????
What part of "Pelosi met separately with Petraeus" are you having trouble with?
It's not surrender when it's their civil war.
We have met all of Bushes (changing) objectives in this war. Name one that hasn't been achieved....
