Hitler, the boogeyman of the Modern Age. Is there anything He was not? A left, a righty, a Christian, an Athiest, a socialist, a capitalist. In my opionion ( not that anyone asked, but hey that never stopped me before), the only thing that matters is the fact He had a gun to everyone's head. Swastika, Hammer and Sickle, Crescent Moon, Christian Cross, etc.. if they got a gun to your head, they got a gun to your head. If they kill you in the name of the state (Soviet Union), or the in the name of Jesus (Spanish Inquisition), the fact reamians the same. They want to take your freedom away and or kill you. The ultimate fight is not right versus left, or consernative versus liberal (progressive ), its Tyranny versus Anarchy. Find the balance between those two extremes.
