Default Hair patrol: La. barber ticketed for Monday work

You can read about the story at this link, but I will post what is relevant here. The prosecuting attorney is refusing to prosecute the case. He says that his job is to prosecute criminals, not barbers. He is also asking the Parish Council to repeal the law as unconstitutional.

Good for him. I wish we had more prosecutors like him.

It is obvious the guy broke the law. The DA should be disbarred for not prosecuting a law that is on the books. He is not doing his job. Every knows you dont cut hair on Sunday and monday in Louisiana.

Wow interesting custom, I never knew that. I would have to disagree because the barber as business owner has the right to do business anyway they deem fit unless it infringes on the rights of another person, I don't see how cutting hair infringes the rights others.

For once I agree with you Oilman.

When people of a community get together and make a law it should be enforced.

Thats good, abortion is legal in the US and the UK I agree with that law and I am pleased you both support the laws of the land, after all sunni did your prophet not state, that if you live in a non islamic country you must abide by the laws of the land you live in as if they where my word?

From memory I read the book a long time ago, did he also not state if you dont like it do not try to change it, move to a country who's laws you do like?

Thats strange, one of my companies supplies 15 Islamic schools in the north west of england and we have a number of there religious teachers who visit, we also supply 6 mosques and there people visit for a chat, I was also in my position within the area labour party involved in the selection of a replacement parlimentary candidate for the next election, when our current MP retires, we will be the first constituancy to send a Female Muslim to the house of commons(she is a very fine civil rights lawyer) where she if elected will be a fine MP.

They all think I am very healthy

The only person that should be able to decide when a private business is opened or closed is the owner.
