Her lawyer soaked them for around 14 million, most, of which him and the government pocketed! Moral of the story! When you or your employee hurts someone due to negligence, do everything in your power, to keep your bills to a minimum, and assure that they do not get an ambulance chaser involved!! A frivolous lawsuit means a case without merit. The woman was obviously injured due to negligence, the only quarrel was how much the negligence was worth. In this situation Macky D’s, got greedy and hurt their own case
