I think apot's point was that you have a false causation link.

In addition, your question is complicated by the fact that many countries with Sharia law either have it only in parts of the country (Nigeria, for example) or the sharia courts only have limited jurisidiction (usually over marriage and inheritance, as in most of North Africa and the Middle East) or it only applies to Muslims, with separate, secular courts for nonMuslims (Malaysia, for example). So how do you describe those countries?

If you define sharia countries as "any country with elements of sharia within its legal system", then there are several countries with strong sports, human rights and commercial records -- though IMO that's despite sharia, not because of it.

All that said, if you're looking for people who will defend sharia law, you've come to the wrong place.
