Sure, there's oil there. THere's a bunch under North Dakota. The problem is, we can't get to most of it.

Every legitimate source I've read indicates that if we used ANWR for 5% of our consumption, it will be dry in a decade.

That's NOT production that's gross. How many barrells can it produce a day?

Because, the magic number for this to make a real difference is 20 million barrels a day.

So, tell me, how many barrels can it produce?

200,000 barrels a day is a lot less than the 20 million we consume.

What, do you think we're consuming at reconstruction era levels?

Actually no one knows truly how much crude reserves Saudi Arabia has, because that is a state secret.
