I am sure, protesting in some fashions do nothing but destroy the morale of those people deployed in combat.

Do I appreciate the troops? Of course I do. Do I realize the sacrifice they're making? Absolutely! Do the troop have a right to their opinion including those who disagree with me? Yes, Yes, Yes. Should I give up my right to express my opinion because others believe that it hurts the troop morale? ABSOLUTELY NOT. You don't give the troops enough credit, they're stronger than you think. What most likely hurts morale, is long troop deployments.

DENVER — Some veterans organizations, soldiers’ relatives and psychiatrists are raising questions about an Army report that says no direction connection has been found between long troop deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and the army’s highest suicide rate since the first Gulf War.
The Army report, released Aug. 16, said love and marriage problems were the main reasons for the highest rate of suicides since 1991. Nearly a third of the 99 who committed suicide in 2006 were in Iraq or Afghanistan.
“This is yet another example of the administration hiding the true costs of this war,” said Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., a member of the Veterans Affairs Committee. http://www.armytimes.com/news/2007/0...despin_070826/
