Yeah - that first part is a bit of a problem, don't you think?

I mean, that's how we got George Bush in there, right?

(You may like Georgie more than I do, I kinda think he's got the "deal is primary" mentality, which in my own eyes is politically and morally bankrupt, but that's neither here nor there).....

I could live with Rudy. He's not my first choice either, but he's definitely "capable", and that already puts him head and shoulders above Bushie. I even kinda "like" some of his liberal social positions, Ii mean, I "like" that he has them and that he's willing to challenge the Republican ideology with them - even though I may disagree with his position on any particular single issue.

But then on the other hand, Hillary is "capable" too, although in a different way perhaps - so Rudy has to convince me that he's "more" capable that Hillary is.... ( ) -

Wouldn't that be a complete gas? To actually have a positive choice for a change, instead of constantly having to choose between the lesser of two evils?

Well, I mean, I have "caveats" with every candidate, and my main one with Rudy is his positioning with regard to foreign policy - and I have an opinion on that "now" but I have a feeling a whole lot of development are going to occur in that space prior to November of '08, so I have no doubt I'll be re-formulating that opinion "many times" as the priorities shift -

Right now, I would prefer to see someone like Ron Paul, 'cause I like his ideology, his perspective -

But, if he got elected and actually did half the things he says he's going to do, this country would disintegrate - it's like, every powerful institution that's deeply tied in with the US economy would be quaking in its boots if Ron Paul b ecame President, so yeah, I do have some "practical" issues in that regard, 'cause it doesn't seem like the guy believes in "baby steps".....

I dunno.... I haven't found a clear balance yet, with any of these candidates. They're all right, and they're all wrong, and when you weight the rights and wrongs it would be nice to be able to come down on the side of "right", wouldn't it?
