Do you see Republicans trying to take over private businesses?

What do you think the Nazi party is if it doesn't support socializing things on a national level? Or does Nazi stand for something other than National Socialism?
So you think the Democrats are trying to "nationalize" every businesses in America?

And I don't know if you noticed, the Nazis didn't take over private businesses. They incorporated all big businesses under a national plan, something equivalent to an industrial policy.

Few reasons why the Republican is a better resemblance of the Nazis: xenophobia, ultranationalism, military industrial complex, violation of human rights, warmongering etc.

Of course I'm not saying all Republicans are like that, but the Republican party tends to support many measures that can be characterized by those descriptions

Since when have Democrats or the Nazis supported the nationalization of every business in a country? Both of them support the major ones for national gain. And your checklist of things that the Republican party supports and the Nazis did, if you can find one of those that the Democrats didn't support I would be impressed.

If you actually want "energy independence" during the age of fossil fuels, then it's necessary to nationalize or at least heavily regulate energy resources.
Personally I think the whole idea stinks and I'm embarrassed that both of our parties pay it lip service... but at least the Democrats actually seem to be taking this idiotic policy goal seriously.

If you're going to drill for "energy independence" might as well add to the regulation also.

To be honest, the dems are not that good either. Sometime they don't have their spine at all and waver under the political wind. But they're the lesser of the two evil.

For example, after didn't buck up against the Iraq war, they want to stop it They are against guantanamo bay, they are pro-immigration, they want to reduce the military spending and suspend wiretapping.
