I see your point, however simply accepting that "it always existed" seems to be taking the easy way out. Don't you ever wonder how the universe was formed? I mean, it is our experience that "matter cannot be created or destroyed", right? So one might think that the universe has always been in existence. But, before we were here to discover these laws of physics, who's to say that they always held true? This kinda sounds crazy I know, but much of philosophy does.
We can only account for what we experience, so simply stating that it always existed, doesn't exactly cut it. I mean... says who, right?? The only way we will likely ever figure out how the universe was formed, or where the matter initially came from - if it was created, is if a really smart alien or a god come to visit us.
I mean, people will tell you they "know" what happened. God created the heavens and the earth... blah blah. I'm not belittling their religion at all, but that's not "really" knowing... it's believing. Different animals.
So yeah, my point is I think accepting anything without continued investigation is just an easy out. I think we should always consider new theories and never rule out old ones.
Just eight words that explains it all, atlest i have proof that the universe exists.
