Default Obama Would Continue Bush's Faith-Based Policy

Well. I'm anxious to hear what all the Dems who hate "everything Bush" will have to say about this---now that their Messiah is not only going to continue it, but will expand on it.

I've never really had a problem with faith-based initiatives. It's one of the better Bush ideas.
I do sometimes question the actual practices... but that goes for any government money given to private institutions.

I'm a little concerned on this idea of organizations paid by the government being able to "hire or fire based on faith". I'd like to know exactly what limitations thaere are on this and what the actual position is.
But I suppose I can handle that as long as the services provided by the organization must be provided without attention to faith of the client.

...the problem comes when you neuter government programs that work for faith based programs, some of which work just fine and others don't.

I'm sure President Obama will keep the working ones going.

Never been opposed to "everything bush" just most of it.

I'm glad Democrats are finally talking about faith. Republicans don't deserve the monopoly.
