As one newbie to another... welcome aboard... but don't be so quick to label this site as extremely right wing... as there are some mighty smart lefties here and they give all those righties a run for their money.

Why? Other than the obvious of course... he's a democrat... so you'd like to see four more years of bush politics?

I have found in my travels that the wingtips of both sides can be loud and annoying.

no, there's still his energy policies and his tax breaks for the extremely wealthy and the spying and his take on the environment... no... even if you take out the wars, I still wouldn't like him.

We have a pretty good balance compared to other forums.
So far, I would have to agree. I could point you to some real hard core right winged cess pools, but... I'd only do so if I didn't like you...

Why that sounds like nearly every right winger on every board I have ever been on. You been on many boards, Toby?

Funny... I hear this a lot in my travels... you know, or maybe you don't, it takes 60 votes to bring a bill to the floor of the Senate and 67 to overide a bush veto, but the democrats only have 51 seats on a good day.

Is 51 larger than 60 or 67 where you come from, JLB? Cuz it sure as hell ain't larger here in California.

So if you and the rest of the americans want to blame congress for not doing anything, be sure to lay the blame at the feet of the obstructionist republicans... and the best way to do that is to vote them out in November...

THEN, if the democrats have a veto proof majority and still can't get anything done, I will join you in lambasting them.

Until that moment arrives... blame those obstructionist republicans.

The good news is that the current administration has convinced even Libertarians to lose confidence in the Republican party.

Guy? see my answer to JLB above... is 51 larger than 60 or 67 in yore neck o' the woods?

Well, yeah!

Can you just imagine what fuss the knee-jerk, authoritarian left would kick up over a Jewish candidate?

Yabbut, the dnc is pretty centrist. I was thinking more along the lines of A.N.S.W.E.R. and whatnot.

and hoping to dazzle people with my incredibly detailed knowlege about today's non candidates. I'm just glad he didn't choose Josh Saviano, though, cause I'm a bit sketchy on him.

Apples and Oranges? While Bush has low approval ratings, Congress has even lower approval ratings I think half again as much as Bush. Obama is a member of Congress/Senate

His poll ratings are a basis of his approval in the campaign race for the presidency of the United States. Nothing to do with Bush' ratings.

I guess Guy missed this post of mine above discussing how congress works... no matter... I will simply repost it for him...

ya know, Guy... not only is McCain a Senator and therefore a member of Congress, but he is also a member of the obstructionist party aka the republicans.
