So, your suggesting science is a matter of opinion and an ideology alignment (Except for the world is round thing, Christians proved that a long time ago.).

If 995 out of a 1,000 scientists say global warming is occurring (which is the ratio of believers to sceptics in the relevant scientific communities now), then I am inclined to believe them over the 5 out of a 1,000 who are being slipped oil company money to go around 'debunking' global warming.

Not so. Today’s academic publishing is a lot like the “Emmy Awards” or “noble peace prize” (I think you know what I'm saying.). In fact, there trying to de-certify meteorologist who don’t give into the global warming thing the same way they shunned real scientists in the 1970’s who didn’t give into the evolution thing.

If you don't believe man can have that great an impact on the planet, how do you explain northern Africa? Historically the Sahara was much smaller and the coastal areas of north Africa were much more productive and species diverse than they are now. If the activities of pre-industrial humans was sufficient to make that great a change in that area, why is it so hard for you to understand that industrial-age humans can have a much greater impact?

It’s a whole picture thing. Lets go back to the ideology alignment thingy. Like evolution the ones you follow do not try to see what is occurring, they try to prove something is occurring. Africa has a 20 year drought cycle, in fact it just ended a few years ago.

Lastly, Dubya still believes in his heart that global warming is so much bunk. That's enough evidence for me right there that global warming is occurring.

Yea, people have a tendency to do that on democratic running platforms. Everything is doom and gloom and only democrats can save you. Did you know that 83% of Americans have healthcare and those that don’t have full accesse to all hospitals with non-emergency care avaialable at clinics and county hospitals throughout America. There’s a problem with a generation, not the environment. It was designed to repair itself as was our bodies.
