Any time you register a domain, you should create a trademark on it. Then if a squatter grabs it, you can simply present your trademark to the registrar and demand its return.

It's a pain in the butt, but if you value your domain name, I strongly suggest taking the time to document your ownership of it.

Well, I just got a notice that "your domain has expired! Click here to renew it now!". So they offered me to renew sadisticsavior.com for $15. So I guess I got it back once they figured out I wasnt going to bid for it, heh heh

So as of right now it is working again.

i remember one time, i was checking on different domain name options on godaddy, seeing if they were available. i wasnt going to purchase just yet, i wanted to compile a list of options. well, a couple days pass and several of the names i had checked on were already purchased... what a coincidence. another time, i actually bought a domain through 1&1, it said it was being registered for me; got a confirmation email and everything. then, about a week later, after having emailed them about the delay, i receive another email saying they were unable to register it, and magically someone else registered the exact same domain at the exact same time as me... how odd... the world of domain names is a mysterious place...

domain thieving spyware is my guess.

i use 1&1 because theyre pretty cheap.
