(First, FTR, I'm female, and undecided on abortion.)
Your argument seems to start with the assumption that fetuses don't have rights, which is what the abortion debate is all about. If you look at it another way, women only represent half the issue and, arguably, men should decide since they're less likely to be biased. I think it's something society as a whole should be involved in.
