I'm pretty sure our titanic defense budget isn't in place just so we can save Iceland. If it wasn't important to the US then the US wouldn't be there any more. |
Nonetheless we are bound by treaty to defend them, and them us. Now in the case of iceland them defending us is a pure joke, but how about the other euros? Does any american REALLY believe that any european country would lift a finger to help the US if we were attacked? |
UK for sure...some eastern countries like Poland would lend a few troops as well. As for others....who knows. I wouldn't count on it. |
