Default Limit # of Posts

There are a few people here that do nothing but spew false statements and rhetoric with no facts to back up anything they say. I'll even name names. Sadistic Savior and Duh2 are good debaters, but seem lacking in critical thinking abilities, general knowledge, conventional wisdom, and common sense. I would even suspect some members are on some political payroll and are paid to make as many comments as they can.

I move to limit the number of posts each person can make (ex: xx posts per day or per week) so that the voice of this minority of the population does not seem louder or more powerful just because of their post count. A limit would force people to actually think before posting. If, for example, you are only allowed 3 posts per day, then you had better choose your words wisely and with a bit more conviction and precision. I believe that this would dramatically increase the quality of posts, and may attract more intelligent people to the forum, who may actually have something important to say. The trade off is that there is a certain risk of overall post count declining, which could possibly drive some people away. However, those who may choose to leave the board might be those who are only motivated by overall post count anyway, and possibly even have other hidden agendas (ex: spreading lies).

If people are allowed to post B.S. in every single thread, then there is not an accurate representation of the consensus of the general population. It seems that some of those people with the most outlandish view points have some of the highest post counts.

Just my honest and open thoughts. I hope I have provided a little bit of insight for those interested. Personally, if I see blatent lies and lack of intelligence in almost every single thread, then I feel like I am talking to a rock (possibly a rock bent on world domination , but a rock none the less) ... and what is the point in talking to a rock?

Cheers ladies and gentlemen.
