France and Germany have pretty much said similar things in various ways.
They are the nations you and others pointed to as declared to be the "WORLD"

What happens when the "WORLD" turns clockwise?
..well those going counterclockwise suddenly don't "respect" it anymore.

I suppose if all else fails the Western Sahara can become the "World"..just ignore the Moroccans.
