fiscal irresponsibility
Fiscal irresponsibility is the biggest problem facing this nation, bar none, greater than the threat of terrorist attacks, global warming, energy dependence, or anything else.
Our national debt now stands at over 9 trillion dollars, or $90,000 for each of the hundred million or so taxpayers in this country.
Bush touts his tax cuts and says he is a conservative. The truth is, he is less conservative than his tax and spend predecessor. True, fiscal conservatives have gone the way of the ivory billed woodpecker. Meanwhile, the voters of this great republic are asleep, worried about gay marriage, flag burning, or abortion, none of which really is in the purview of the federal government.
Wake up, fellow Americans! This is a serious problem, even more important than who wins the Superbowl or who is the next contestant on American Idol.
