Yeah - I don't know what the Scientologists are like in Europe, but if they're anything like they are over here, they're not really interested in "political power", are they?
I mean, it seems to me, it's a "different" kind of power they're after.
You know, their people don't really run for office a lot, like the Mormons do, or anything like that. There's no "drive" to be in politics, like there is in the Jewish community, or among the black or latinos or like that.
At least, I haven't "perceived" any, so far, if there is I'd be very curious to know about it.
So I mean, if I were the German government, I wouldn't really consider them "politically" dangerous ('course, I might use that
excuse, but that wouldn't really be the reality, you think?) -
The only thing I can think of, is that their beliefs
are a little kooky once you get up to Level 42 or whatever, and I'm not entirely sure how that kinda thing would play into "allegiances" and so on, but I mean, I'm not aware of anything really "dangerous" in the Scientology thing - mostly they just wanna avoid paying taxes, is like 90% of
their deal....
That's what I mean, I just don't "get it".
You know, like okay, the holocaust bit I can understand. And I can even understand the China-Christians thing, 'cause like, China has a long history of being invaded by just about every nation and religion on the planet, and "they" take a very skeptical view towards religion in general, I mean, they certainly don't like Muslims very much either, and "even" the Buddhists (or more specifically, certain "kinds" of Buddhists) are pretty carefully watched. So, all that, kinda "makes sense".
But I mean, Germany? What are
they worried about? I mean, I'm curious how the people there, rationalize this kinda thing. Are they admitting some kinda "national character" or something? They got more Muslims over there than you can shake a stick at, but I mean,
Scientologists?
I must be missing something.....
