I don't think it's being destroyed. I feel that it's molding with other cultures to eventually becoming a global culture. Some people may feel that this is a bad thing and wish to retain their distinct cultural identity, but those people will be dead before a singular global culture comes into existence most likely. Each generation becomes more globally minded and I don't see an end to this trend. It's all with the natural flow of things...You can be part of more than one culture too...Learning to accept other people's cultural differences while maintaining your own and having a healthy respect from where you came from is excellent.
I'm not a Brit so I didn't know.
I still prefer cheerios...
