Did they remove a stone? I'm not clear on that.

And a stone in the common bile duct is bad news! Do not play with this!

I am not really good with medical terms so I will try to explain to you more graphically.

The doctor said that there is one large stone stuck between the gall bladder exhaust [tube] into the entrance of the intestines. It not only caused the extreme pain but also infections. The day when I ran away for the hospital I still had fever and discomfort. Fortunately I borrowed some anti-biotic pills from friends and also took some Tylenol to bring my body temperature to a normal level today; and the discomfort has dropped at least 80%.

My plan is first to make sure that my body is OK so the insurance company will not blame me for taking a hike from the hospital. If I did have some problem and have to go to another hospital right away that will not be a smart move.

Next week I will start talking to my insurance company and find out what exactly I have to do.

JC:

Go to the (*)(*)(*)(*) hospital. This is not going to get better on its own. These stones can cause serious damage to the ducts as they are sharp and pointy. That's why you had an infection, and now you've increased the odds that you will have a future infection that is resistant to antibiotics. I guarantee that you will feel about ten million times better when you've addressed this issue, medically speaking.

The insurance company is not going to refuse to pay because you refused treatment. They might refuse to pay for a procedure for which you had not received prior approval, but you are referencing a serious medical condition that almost certainly will be covered by insurance.

Don't be stupid, you're messing with your longterm health here. Go see your doctor TOMORROW. I lay 90% odds that he/she will admit you immediately into a hospital for a surgical procedure that will relieve your suffering.

The surgery isn't what it used to be... provided you don't (*)(*)(*)(*) around and wait too long.

If it's just a regular cholecystectomy (gb removal) it's done endoscopically (with tubes) and no big scars. Two, maybe thre little punctures.

If you wait until the common bile duct gets good and infected, then you will either get a big time infection that spreads throughout your organs, or they will have to lay you open like a fish.

Go now. Don't wait.

Take the surgery or have fun screaming yourself to death.

Yes every patient has the right to refuse treatment. you have a good case.

Also, get those god (*)(*)(*)(*) gallstones removed. It could be very serious and if it gets infected you could die. Get to a hospital and get treated

They removed three large stones, the infection was not caused by the removal procedure. It was caused by previous Jam. I stay one extra day after the surgery and the doctor said that I am fine, it just previous infection needs time to recover. I am really much better, I dare to play with my life. Tomorrow I am going to call the insurance company.

Just as long as everything is alright, look after yourself.

I concur! I just took a biology class and my teacher (who used to be a doctor) was talking about how they do it. You really should do the surgery quickly.
