This one.....Real Clear Politics....is one of the very best, IMHO. For the 2002 election I followed it closely and with all their analysis, I was able to predict several days BEFORE the election, EXACTLY how it would end up. I wasn't just close; I had the EXACT.

Default First update

Here's the first update, all site results in one thread. I'm mostly doing this to establish the template for future updates; most of the sites show no change in the numbers.

NTRADE (based on trading in candidate futures)
http://electoralmap.net/index.php
Obama: 306 EC votes
McCain: 216 EC votes
Too close to call: 16 EC votes
Update: NO CHANGE

ELECTORAL-VOTE.COM (a respected consolidator of poll results)
http://www.electoral-vote.com/
Obama: 320
McCain: 204
Too close: 14
Update: NO CHANGE

CNN (not updated since mid-June, looks like)
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/06/...map/index.html
Obama: 231
McCain: 194
Too close: 113
Update: NO CHANGE

REAL CLEAR POLITICS
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...bama_vs_mccain
Obama: 255
McCain: 163
Too close: 120
Update: NO CHANGE

538.COM
http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
Obama: 303
McCain: 235
Too close: 0
Update: McCain gains 4 votes, Obama loses 4

Default 7/21 update

Latest update. I'm dropping the CNN map because they're not updating it.

Votes needed to win: 270

NTRADE (based on trading in candidate futures)
http://electoralmap.net/index.php
Obama: 306 EC votes
McCain: 216 EC votes
Too close to call: 16 EC votes
Update: NO CHANGE

ELECTORAL-VOTE.COM (a respected consolidator of poll results)
http://www.electoral-vote.com/
Obama: 312
McCain: 199
Too close: 27
Update: Both Obama and McCain lose ground to the "Too close" category. But Obama lost 8 and McCain only lost 5, so McCain closes the gap a little.

REAL CLEAR POLITICS
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...bama_vs_mccain
Obama: 255
McCain: 163
Too close: 120
Update: NO CHANGE

538.COM
http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
Obama: 292
McCain: 246
Too close: 0
Update: McCain gains 11 votes, Obama loses 11

Latest update. I've added the Pollster.com map to replace the useless CNN map.

Votes needed to win: 270

NTRADE (based on trading in candidate futures)
http://electoralmap.net/index.php
Obama: 306 EC votes
McCain: 216 EC votes
Too close to call: 16 EC votes
Update: NO CHANGE

ELECTORAL-VOTE.COM (a respected consolidator of poll results)
http://www.electoral-vote.com/
Obama: 292
McCain: 192
Too close: 54
Update: Both Obama and McCain lose more ground to the "Too close" category. But Obama lost 20 and McCain only lost 7, so again McCain closes the gap.

REAL CLEAR POLITICS
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...bama_vs_mccain
Obama: 238
McCain: 163
Too close: 137
Update: Obama loses 17 votes to "too close." McCain unchanged.

538.COM
http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
Obama: 292
McCain: 246
Too close: 0
Update: NO CHANGE

POLLSTER.COM
http://www.pollster.com/
Obama: 297
McCain: 172
Too close: 69
Comment: The most intriguing thing about this map is the "strong Democrat" number: 260. Meaning Obama would only need 10 "too close to call" electoral votes to win.
