This country is quite hungry right now for a President they can like. I think that's what finished Hilary, really. She's very smart and would probably make a perfectly competent President who wouldn't screw anything up too badly, which is really all you can ask for. But Bush has annoyed the country so badly that we're craving charm, and she lacks that. Bill has it. But he's not allowed to run again. If he could, it would be a landslide.

Obama has style, and gives an impression of class and intelligence. The country really needs that right now.

Not that McCain is that bad in this department, either. Seems like a nice guy.

I'd settle for a candidate of substance & wouldn't care if he/she looked like quasi moto & had the charm & grace of a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Obama is an empty suit that can give a speech better than anybody since Ronald Reagan. The thing is, Obama is nothing without somebody elses words. Ever heard him speak "off the cuff"? He's a lot of "um, uh, ah".
