so you should give hamas the chance to rule and after their experiement in government you can say they deserve to rule or no..
Pay attention that Palestine is under occupation and so people under occupation have a thoughts difference to you, if you live occupied before you understand me..
i mean the blockade and fighting Hamas never effect bad to their popularity and thats support it..
people under occupation have a priority before the food and electricity.. this priority is fighting the enemies (occupation), and thats what hamas doing now..
the blockade support that..
if there's no blockade the priorty to hamas will not be fighting enemy but to build a good community and support peace..
I Live in Gaza and i mean what i say..
I agree that the world has mistreated Hamas from day one (stopping all international aid for starters), but you have to agree that they have quite a bad reputation, at least in the views of the international community.

I am not saying that they don't have a right to govern their people as they were elected through a democratic process, but at the same time they didn't respect Abbas's request to appoint a different member of their political party as prime minister, which from my understanding, he CAN do legally as PNA President.

Abbas on the other hand, didn't have a right to appoint his "choice" man instead. This is one part of why the internal conflict started fueling up (Correct?). I assume that this internal conflict has an additional negative effect on the Palestinian people (which deserve much better - an end to all violence, basic neads, rights, etc.).

Either way, I believe that the current situation is unproductive. In my opinion, the Palestinian people would be better off if they elected a more diplomatic party to lead them in their struggle, violence will only bring more violence, and God knows that the Israeli government should do more than they are currently doing to make some forward progress towards peace, and a two state agreement.

I don't know how things truly are in Gaza, and I'm very interested to hear what you have to say about how things really are (politics and life in general). I truly hope things will change for the better.
Much respect.
