Anyway...

Liebermann very likely will speak at the convention for McCain which will help him to a small degree with the Liberals who are not interested in Obama's Far Leftist agenda.

Theres still a chance though very unlikely that he may be McCains VP. Either way he represents a rational liberal mindset that is far removed form the Far Left kooks of the Obama crowd.

Some things in life are utterly predictable. One of them is the inevitibility with which any mention of Joe Lieberman will elicit the time-honored canards in terms of Jewish loyalty. The demonizing worked in the past, and by the looks of it today, it is still very much a part of the arsenal of those who attack the character of Jewish people rather than discuss their positions.

The left (to which I include myself in many ways) bemoans the politics of personal destruction, and rightly so. I think a good start in that regard would be to not engage in that particular practice.

I think it has more to do with Lieberman being close friends with McCain.
I think their friendship means more to Lieberman than party lines.
The two have a lot of respect for each other. I really doubt he expects to be VP.

After all while he may support McCaign's campaign... he'll be voting with the Democrats to disconfirm any of those conservative judges McCain promised his base.

I wonder if Hagel will speak at the DNC's convention, I doubt it they only really support the far left and don't allow for any disenting opinions. Just look at the two conventions in 04 the GOP had liberals like Rudy and Arnold speak on prime time while the DNC had the likes of Gore, Carter, and Obama.

Well, they might----because Chuck Hagel wouldn't give a dissenting opinion. Hagel has his head so far up Obama's behind right now, he can't see straight. <g>

BTW, the DNC is ALSO going to have a Pentecostal minister speak at their convention as they TRY to convince the people who might think it's matters that they really are FOR religion.

The neo-socialist DNC tried forcing Lieberman to drink the kool-aid, and he refused. Now, he's a pariah. Fitting.

Lieberman is democratic. It's a shame the DNC isn't.

I think if it's anything that's destructive it's the time-honored accusations of anti-Semitism. These are serious issues and the world can't afford to set them aside because they might coincide with some anti-Semitic beliefs. Where the loyalties of Lieberman, and to a far greater extent the Neocons, lie is of critical importance to the American people because these are the people that are shaping American foreign policy and sending Americans to die abroad.

I don't think that McCain would make him the VP on the ticket. They are good friends yes. They stand somewhere in the middle. The reflection of Lieberman on McCain would be that (R)'s would see that he is not as conservative as they want to believe.
