I will tell you what the joke is, if they had started off with the right troop levels from the beginning as Colin Powell tried to tell them there would have been NO need for a surge.

It just goes to show you that they mucked this thing up from the word go and now that they have finally gotten something right, you have got the cheerleaders running out giving them a pat on the back.

So I guess since the surge has worked (as many here claim), I guess the next surge will be in Afghanistan were we should have finished the job in the first place.
