And what is the US track record of plots in the South Americas????

Allegations of US involvement surrounded the failed 2002 attempt to oust Venezeula's President Hugo Chavez. The US denied any involvement but Mr Chavez claimed they financially backed the plotters. Greg Palast went to Caracas.
